Divine Diversion. SEASON 1: EPISODE 4

Hello lovelies, Episode 4 is here and today, I am writing on "Divine Diversion". Someone very close to me shared a story which I thought it to be worth sharing to inspire and educate someone out there and also most importantly, uplift and glorify the name of the Lord. Thanks for joining me today, as always this is your writer (Eunice). Let's begin, shall we??

Let's name this person Abigail, okay?

One day, Abigail went to Kokomlemle to do some few errands and after everything, she decided to go home. This is a person who really knows Accra city very well, but here she was in an area which was not her route to her home. She did not know the area she was at first but because she heard some trotro mates screaming "Neoplan station!!", she gave a sigh of relief because she finally knew where she was. P.S: Trotro is a privately owned mini-bus that takes people from one area to another.

She said in her mind "What kind of mistake is this?" because she was in a wrong place around  7pm. But, lo and behold, she saw a trotro in front of her car which had these words inscribed on them, "God don't do mistakes". Wow, wow, this was God just speaking to her. She was taken aback and realized that it was not a mistake, rather it was God diverting her route for a reason.

For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
— Isaiah 55: 8 (NLT)

I know when our plans and routines are diverted, they can be annoying and disturbing, but God might be protecting us from danger. God often diverts us in order to make our lives much better than if we had stuck to our original plans.

Think of the Israelites. It took them 40 years to reach the Promised Land. You might be wondering, why didn't God give them 1 day to reach the Promised Land, but 40 years. He wanted to teach the Israelites, the spirit of patience and perseverance. Let us look at our own lives, we might be going through a delay in our lives and this might be quite challenging for most Christians when God is taking a while to answer our prayer request(s). I want to assure you my reader, that, God does no mistake. He definitely knows what He is doing. Our thoughts are not like God's thoughts. His thoughts are always far better than ours. So why don't you stick to God's plan for your life then? It might take time but He will surely answer us at His timing and God knows what is best for us more than we can think of. P.S: Delay is not a denial!! He hasn't forgotten about you! Stay tuned for the blessings attached to your obedience in listening to His voice. Let us look at an example from Joseph's life. God diverted him to Egypt even though his brothers wanted to kill him, but God used one of his brother's life to change his story. Joseph was rather sold to traveling Midianites who in turn, sold him to Potiphar. (Read the story from Genesis 37).

God diverted the evil plans from Joseph's life when he was in the household of Potiphar to prepare him to rescue God's chosen people from starvation. Another exemplary lesson we can take from Joseph is that, he had set some standards by not sleeping with Potiphar's wife. He chose to uplift God in every area of his life and God used that to bless him.  We can apply this in our own lives when we choose to please God in our lives and not choose to live according to the world's standards.

In conclusion, God cares and knows every step of our lives. If your life is being diverted, this is not the time to blame God, but a time to let Him be the ruler of your life.

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
— Psalms 139:16 (NLT)

For He knows our plans since we were in our mother's womb. He has outlined every stage of our lives and our duty is just to let God do His thing! Spend quality time with God and you will know His voice. God is not a God of confusion. He knows no mistake. Learn to commit all your plans to God! God loves you. Shalom!

SAY THIS PRAYER: God, teach me to be willing to adjust my plans to conform to yours. Help me Lord to obey you at all times and to trust that you have better things in store for me than I could ever dream. I thank you God for an answered prayer, in Jesus' Name I pray with thanksgiving. Amen!

If you do not know God or have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Savior, please say the prayer below sincerely :) God Loves You!
