You might be wondering, what I am going to write about right? Let's delve into details, shall we??

One hot afternoon, I went to Osu to do some few errands and I parked at a hotel but I don't remember the name though :( I overheard three security men talking about the lovely  comedian (Emmanuella). If you are in the continent of Africa or even abroad, I'm sure you have heard of her or seen her funny videos circulating around the internet. Her creativity and smartness is just too lit. One of the security men spoke passionately on how he loves her videos and will download them when he gets home.

For those of you who do not know Emmanuella, this is a picture of her!

Her full name is Emmanuella Samuel. She is a July born (whoop whoop, 22nd July to be precise). She is from Nigeria and has been featured in Mark Angel Comedy videos on countless times. At such a young age (7 years), she is making waves in the entertainment industry and has won awards.

This is one of my favourite videos of her, check it out below.

I learned a great lesson from the men's conversation and I want to share it. I was amused that even older men are loving her comedy skits. My main Bible verse will be:

To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
— Matthew 25:29 (NLT)

This Bible verse is a reminder to all Christians. God has given each and everyone of us talent(s), but my question today is, are you using it, or are you about to use it? As we saw in the life of Emmanuella, she utilizes her talent, and even at the age of 7, she is already making waves, how sweet is it? Think of this, if she had refused to use her talent, how would have people heard from her. People need to experience a positive impact from you on the usage of your talent so use your talent(s) now!!

You might have 2 talents and your friend might have 5 talents, but you do not have to worry or even compare your talent to that person. God created us in unique ways and has deposited unique talents for each and everyone of us. Most Christians think that we are in a marathon race and one has to compete in order to get attention. But my dear, you need to stop and ponder why will God want us to compete over one another. I always speak of how God is very creative when it comes to forming us in our mother's womb. He has given some people the talent of drawing, others singing and we are to be content with whatever talent He has given to us and use it wisely. On the Judgement Day, we will give an account of what we have used our talents for.

Another problem most Christians are practicing is that, the talent(s) God has given to us are used to gain fame or popularity instead of using it to honor and give glory to God. When you use your talent for fame, you lose the blessings of God attached to it. Ask yourself this question, Am I using my talent(s) to seek attention for myself or to give glory to God?? If you are using it for His glory, well done, keep glorifying God. If you are doing the opposite, please repent and refrain from doing so.

At the end of the day, this should be your response:

I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.
— John 17:4 (NLT)

God has a talent for each and everyone of us. You might not know yours now, but don't worry, it's not too late. God is the giver of all good things and you only need to ask Him.

Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!
— John 14:14 (NLT)

Finally, write down your goals and aspirations of what you want to use your talent for and commit them to God first and my God in heaven shall surely answer your prayer request in His timing. If you have a talent, don't wait till you are old before you start using it. God can take away your talent(s) if He sees that you don't use it. So start anyways, make baby steps and bear in mind that as you use the talent(s), you will come across challenges or trials of all sort, but no need to fret because God is in control.

Is it drawing, cooking, writing motivational messages or even being a comedian like my dear Emmanuella that you are passionate about? Cultivate in your talent with the help of God of course. You know you cannot do anything with your own strength right?? and put Christ at the center of it all. God bless you.

If you do not know God or have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Savior, please say the prayer below sincerely :) God Loves You!
